Why cycling matters to us

Cycling has a special place in Colombian culture.

Colombia’s mountains have produced extraordinary cyclists, including Luis “Lucho” Herrera,  Fabio Parra, Nairo Quintana, Rigoberto Urán and Egan Bernal, alongside the celebrated BMX champion Mariana Pajón.

They represent qualities that inspire us: energy, resilience, freedom and determination.

Our ambition is to bring that spirit to Birkenhead by making Ruppys a place where cyclists can meet, discover new routes and reconnect over good food and Colombian coffee.
